English term or phrase: (incremental) reimbursement
Since the introduction of coronary artery stents in 1994, XY have led the way in obtaining industry wide reimbursements. As a result incremental reimbursement is now in place for coronary artery stent procedures as well as for the more recently introduced intravascular brachytherapy system for treatment of in-stent restenosis.

I understand "incremental reimbursement" has got something to do with the US healthcare system. But what exactly is it and how could it be translated into German? I assume there is nothing comparable in the German healthcare system!?

progressiv ansteigende Ausgleichszahlungen
Explanation:
As far as I know, there isn't anything comparable in Germany (but then I left 14 years ago!), but I feel that the above translation would probably fit with the context.
