clear up a battle(field) Beräumung/Aufräumung des Schlachtfeldes Explanation: Ich denke, dass in dieser Situationsbeschreibung nichts Anderes gemeint sein kann als bereits vermutet, also die Beräumung/Aufräumung des Schlachtfeldes, wie auch im Abschnitt "Clearing the Battlefields" unter http://www.greatwar.co.uk/article/battle-remains-western-fro... beschrieben.
