crabapple springs "Holzapfel-Quellen" Explanation: ... though I doubt it makes much sense. Except for the springs, which indicate water, it could be any village in rural America. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 Stunde (2008-05-12 19:51:49 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Springen sounds wrong to me (at least as a German native) a spring is a source of water (Quelle) and KrebAppel has no connotation whatsoever to German. Appel is known in Northern Germany and has the same meaning as in English. Since I'm not a native Texan, I'cant answer the last part of your question. The Ewing family certainly would have thought of an oilfield. ;0) |
