English term

handicap bench, lint brush, check-out time, housekeeping dept

English to German Other
I am working on a hotel directory. Having spent my last 10 vacations on campgrounds, I am a bit insecure with these terms.
"Handicap bench" is mentioned in a list of "amenities" offered by the hotel
"lint brush"- I know what that is, but is "Fusselbuerste" the correct term??
Check-out time:Abmeldezeit?
Housekeeping department: I know that a housekeeper is the Hausdame, but how do you call the department?
And one more: They have a sort of dial system that seems to work by touch. How do you put this into proper German?Would "Aktivieren" work?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Selected

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks- I like the term "Hausdamenbereich"!( Wouldn't it be a nice way to describe the realm of our daily kitchen battles??)"

Sitzbank für behinderte, Fusselbürste, Check-out-time, Hausdamenabteilung

Touchphone=Tastentelefon

Check-Out-Time in grösseren Hotels, in kleineren: Abreisezeit

Check-Out, Tastentelefon

I would say the first and second expression are clearly mentioned by the other answerers.

In some bigger German-Hotels you can also find - simply "Check-Out - spätestens um 12.00 Uhr"

touch-tone telephone = Tastfernsprecher m, Tastwahl-Telephon n, Touch-Tone-Telephon n (US)

(acc. to Ernst - Wörterbuch der industriellen Technik)

I think is is a "Tastentelefon".

Question:

Excuse my asking: You ask 5 distinct questions, I answer all 5 and the one with 3 answers gets the points.
BTW: 'Bereich, would hardly do for 'department'.
If you 'like' Bereich you shouldn't ask for department.
