Explanation:
Obwohl die Konsumforschung (consumer research) sich natürlich sehr häufig der Verbraucherumgrage bedient, werden auch andere Quellen wie z.B. Verkausfstatistiken oder ähnliches benutzt. Deshalb ist m.M.n. die Übersetzung "Verbraucherumfrage" zu eng. Research ist nun mal nicht gleich Umfrage.
