Was könnte "ally" in dem folgenden Kommentar bezeichnen?
Es geht um das erste von insgesamt drei Viertelfinalen:

"Let’s get straight into the action, the first of the men’s quarter finals, the first two boats go through to the semi’s, and what a, what a high quality first quarter final we have for you. In ***ally*** number one, PKF they’re at the top of screen, ***ally*** number two the Skilled crew, the national champions from Avoca beach, and ***ally*** number three the defending Ocean Thunder champions from Currumbin beach, the Stockland crew, their sweep Lyle Clark closest to camera in ***aisle*** number three.

Tippfehler ist möglich, und u. U. meint es das Gleiche wie "aisle".

Also alley(way) bzw. aisle könnten sich beide auf "Bahn" beziehen. Ob's bei diesem Wassersport es irgendwelche Linien/Grenzen gibt? Also vermutlich Bojen o.ä.

Im Kontext macht es jedenfalls Sinn ("in ally number two" etc.). Ich kenne an sich nur "lane" - aber was weiß ich schon über Surfboating? ;-)
