English to German Tech/Engineering Furnace for calcination of carbon bodies
Related to a so-called 'ring section furnace' where air is moved from one chamber ot another with fans. Example: "...the exhaust fan sucks false air from ..."

Nebenluft

This is a common expression for unintended intake of air, e.g. in a vehicle carburator due to a defective packing.

neutral Jerzy Czopik : In allen von mir bisher übersetzen Anleitunge zu Ofenanlagen wurde der Term "Falschluft" benutzt - er entspricht auch genau dem, was damit gemeint ist: Luft, die im System eigentlich nichts zu suchen hat

agree Jerzy Czopik : Das ist "der" in den Industrie dafür verwendete Term: Luft, die durch Undichtigkeiten in das System eingesaugt wird, die aber dort im Prinzip nichts zu suchen hat (wenn bei einem Vergaserauto Falschluft eingesagt wurde, lief das Auto nicht rund)

kunstliche Luft

I think the emphasis appears to be on that the air is not real, and created by the fans, thus "kunstlich" would seem to fit better.
