Die Weilburger - Leichtlehm - Platte setzt sich zusammen aus Lehm, der in heimischen Vorkommen abgebaut wird, und Vermiculit. Vermiculit ist ein Mineral, das mit dem besser bekannten Glimmer mineralogisch verwandt ist. Gegenüber Glimmer besitzt Vermiculit die besondere Eigenschaft, bei Temperaturbeaufschlagung aufzublähen. Aufgrund dieser Tomperaturbehandlung ist Vermiculit absolut keimfrei, Vermiculft ist ein ökologisrch und haubiologisch hophwertiger Baustoff Im Gegensatz zu Lehrnprodukten, die mit organischen Stoffen vermischt sind besteht bei der Weilburger - Leichtlehm - Platte nicht die Gefahr einer Pilz oder Sporenbildung. Die Platte kommt bereits durchgetrocknet auf die Baustelle.
