This is about parameters of an automatic contrast control of a copier.
Auto Contrast Algorithm
0 : Tip dist
1 : Histgram
The title and the second (Histogram) I do know, but about the abbreviated "Tip dist" I am absolutely not sure.
My own best guess would be "tip distance", but does this make any sense? Explanation would also help.

Das ist aber nur geraten bei dem geringen Kontext. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass Histogramm bedeutet, dass der Controller einen Mittelwert aus allen bisher eingestellten Kontrastwerten nimmt (=auto)
und bei "tip dist" ein Wert manuell eingegeben werden kann.
