Explanation:
You don't give terribly much context (the whole English sentence would've been nice...), but I did find a slasher's beam = Schlichtebaum [Hohenadel, Textil-Wörterbuch].

For the two individual terms, Hohenadel gives the following:
Slash = kettschlichten or schlichten, and beam (noun) = Baum, Kettbaum, Webbaum, Färbebaum, and (verb) = bäumen, aufbäumen
Maybe that'll fit into your context.

Kettschlichtbaum?

Explanation:
Bin mir nicht 100% sicher, aber "Beamed Yarn" ist aufgewickeltes Garn, "Beam" heißt u.a. Färbebaum, "slash" heißt kettschlichten. Könnte es sein, dass es sich bei "slash" nicht um ein Verb sondern um ein Nomen handelt?
