Comment: "There was a great of lively discussion and interest on this entry. I suppose the origin of this phrase is from getting over an illness, hence 'recover from yourself'. Συνέρχομαι also can be used in this sense. I also noted and liked Kyriacos's Ξύπνα. The discussion about σοβαρέψου! / σοβαρευτείτε was also extremely helpful and can be used in English meaning 'face facts.' "
