English term or phrase: applicate
Good morning, fellow translators!
My question doesn't concern terminology as a simple meaning: what does applicate mean? Is it interchangeable with apply? l am editing an English text. The entry goes: "Specifically, in 1997 the reported events were 55, the highest recorded numbers, while in 1999 only 5 were applicated in the state".
The red line, as l am typing this, implies that the word doesn't even exist (l believe the same thing), but l thought l'd ask before l reject it.

Thank you in advance!
