egy vállalat licencmegállapodásairól van szó, és előtte van egy rövid bemutató a vállalat tevékenységeiről, üzletágairól, felszereltségéről és szellemi termékeiről:

ez a solvent de-asphalting azért tök sötét nekem, mert azt sem tudom, hogy "oldószeres" vagy "az oldószernek a..." aszfaltmentesítés(e)-e? vagy nem is oldószer?

Nem oldószeres, hanem az oldószernek a mentesítése. Maga a mondat utal erre. Ha elolvasod ami utána következik (hydrogen production processes) akkor meglátod. Persze van "oldószeres" megoldás is, de itt nem arról van szó, itt magát az oldószert kell mentesíteni.

ezek valahol szinoním szavak és a kémiában úgy mondják kátránymentesítés (azaz olefinkémiából nekem így szólt a tételem) és a műszaki szótár szerint is (tudom, nem szentírás az asphalt jelenthet kátrányt is)
