until quite recently it was an almost universally accepted axiom that flying buttress were unknown in the West. magari puoi dire semplicemente "arco" quando è chiaro a che cosa ti riferisci, per evitare la ripetizione.
"flyer" è stato usato semplicemente al posto del termine completo "flying buttress"
