English term or phrase: scribal publication
Esisterà un preciso termine in italiano che non sia pubblicazione scribale? Qualcuno sa dirmelo?

In 796, Alcuin, the Englishman who had become the principal teacher
at court, retired. He had lived the first forty years of his life in the cathedral
school of York and had been invited to accompany Charlemagne’s
in the early 780s. He had quickly established himself as a charismatic
teacher, instructing the sons of the nobles, the King and his daughters in
theology, rhetoric, grammar, spelling, arithmetic and astronomy. Alcuin
had a gift for friendship – poems of the period picture him as fond of a
drink – but with an English reserve, hesitant to take his clothes off and
join Charlemagne in the hot baths at Aachen to discuss the finer points
of arithmetic or astronomy.
For his retirement, Alcuin was given the abbacy of the monastery of
St Martin in Tours. He felt its isolation keenly (and curiously he had his
wine sent over from England), but there he began a programme of SCRIBAL PUBLICATION.
