The impact of these religious controversies on the political and
social of life of Europe would be enormous. As Luther’s movement for
the reformation of the Church spread to Switzerland, Austria, France,
and all the other countries of Europe, it complicated an already difficult
situation between the French kings, the House of Habsburg and the papacy.
Educationally it energized new generations of authors and
theologians as well as accelerating a movement towards greater literacy,
so that the population at large might become better informed on
religious questions. A market for books and pamphlets developed that
was substantially different to that of the late fifteenth century, which
had focused on previously ISSUED works.

  -> Grazie mille Maria Grazia. Esatto: anch'io ho fatto questa riflessione. Però, visto che si parla del tardo XV secolo, è probabile che si trattasse di opere già stampate con la tecnica di Gutemberg, che fu varata appunto intorno al 1455.
