From "ping, pipe and power" (PPP). I haven't found a good explanation of this web-hosting jargon online yet, but I imagine it means:

Ping: access to site
Pipe: bandwidth for vistors, uploads and downloads
Power: electricity for your site's servers (for continuity in access)

"Ping: access..." in the sense that people are able to find the site (which can be done by "pinging" it).

Of course, I'll leave it to the native speakers to come up with terms that sound better in Italian.

I feel sure this is a metaphor. PPP stand for point to point protocol by the way. Piping means serving pages, and powering means computing and and assembling PHP pages, a dynamic form of html which changes all the time. It does not refer to electricity.
