Bearing shells and/or axial/radial pads should be replaced, if they show stripes and/or scratches and an increase is observed in its operating temperature, if the whitemetal is damaged, has waves marks or dragging material, or if the sliding surface is concave or has ridges. If a thrust surfaces shows such wear signs, the complete thrust surfaces set must be replaced. The same is valid in case the white metal shows signs of ***bow wave ridges*** or sliding scores.
