Il contesto è la scoperta di un virus:

I must therefore deduce that the agent can only be contagious living fluid ("contagious living fluid" was a common term befor the later adoption of the Latin word virus).

Finora sono riuscito a trovare solo l'espressione latina "contagium vivum fluidum", della cui precisione peraltro non sono sicuro al 100%. Esiste un termine italiano? Grazie in anticipo!

A limite puoi usare "fluidi biologici infetti" se vuoi mantenere il parallelismo con la definizione latina (numerosi hit anche per questa definizione)

agree  luskie: meglio post-grading che niente :-) 'scoperta' + menzione del latino hanno 'riesumato' la traduttrice di storia della medicina, e i tempi in cui era molto più probabile dicessero fluidi corporei che biologici... certo che ne ho scritte di belle nel we!
