Si tratta di una serie di azioni eseguibili con il mouse in un programma di sequencing musicale. Nella tabella fornita dal cliente ci sono quattro colonne.
La prima colonna è ACTION (es.: Insert/Move note)
La seconda colonna è MOUSE DOWN (es.: Add note to edit buffer)
La terza colonna è MOUSE MOVE (es.: Move inserted note horizontally or vertically)
La quarta colonna è MOUSE UP, che riporta appunto COMMIT EDIT BUFFER.

Penso che qui si potrebbe intendere in pratica la possibilità di rendere definitive la modifiche effettuate alla partitura (ad es. la nota viene aggiunta al buffer, la memoria temporanea usata per le modifiche, dopodiché tutte le modifiche sono reversibili fino a che non si esegue il commit)

Le modifiche che si effettuano sulla base di dati non sono permanenti fino a che non si da' il comando:

commit;

a fronte di tale comando la base di dati viene permanentemente modificata.

Prima che sia dato il commit e' possibile eliminare tutte le modifiche fino al commit precedente con il comando:

rollback;
