Medici sub-specialisti? (non trovo molte occorrenze, quindi penso che ci sia un termine più "italiano" che però non mi viene in mente.

E' un nuovo termine che si riferisce, a quanto pare, a maedici laureati e specializzati (ad es. pediatri) ma ulteriormente specializzati (es. pediatri cardiologi o nefrologi).
In questa accezione forse sarebbe più corretto parlare di super-specialisti; in realtà ha prevalso la traduzione letterale. In effetti sub- sta per campo di specializzazione ulteriormente ristretto.
