English term or phrase: Diamond in the Wind
Like to use this as the name of a female dog. I would like her name to be the Italian translation of Diamond in the Wind. Would it be possible to provide pronunciation also? There are too many versions of several words available in dictionaries, I'm not sure which to use.
Thank you for your help!!
Lori
diamante nel vento
Explanation:
[dee-ah-mahn-teh nehl vehn-tô]
"diamante" is the uncut stone or what is used to cut glass; "brillante" is what you find in a ring. I think "diamante" sounds better as a name. For "wind" there also are many words... If you tell us a bit more about the dog or what effect you want to obtain, maybe we can help you a bit more!

Thank you for the quick answer Floriana. The dog I am naming is a Samoyed. I have a male named Diamante Bianco and wanted to stick with the Diamante theme. Wind is for the puppies mother named WindStar. The puppy will be a show dog also. By the way, you have a nice name also.
Thanks again! Lori :-)

Diamante nel Vento

Explanation:
Try the following for the pronunciation:
the letter "i" is pronounced as an "e";
the "a" as the "a" in "after";
the "e" as the sound of "e" in "every"
that is: d-e-a-m-a-n-t-e n-e-l v-e-n-t-o
Hope this help you
