Si tratta presumibilmente di un termine usato per indicare una parte del'automobile, ma non ho trovato alcun riscontro.

il termine, trovato su un giornale di automobili, potrebbe indicare:
la *palpebra del cruscotto*.
Cioè, la sporgenza a visiera che impedisce alla luce solare di riflettersi sugli strumenti.
Ma non so quanto possa esserti utile

Explanation:
Decklid corrisponde in francese a Porte de coffre arrière (Dictionnaire Tech. et Sc. Goursau).
Quindi, in italiano corrisponde alla traduzione indicata sopra.
Bisogna aggiungere "posteriore" nel caso si tratasse di un furgone.
