C'è un termine scientifico per questo tipo di organismi infestanti? Da quello che ho capito sono quelli che si sviluppano in una tana, ma non ho trovato l'esatto traducente.

...Concordo con le colleghe: non credo la frase indichi un tipo di insetto, ma credo "harbor" sia il verbo che regge la frase: cfr. qui e più sotto:-

- They harbour pests such as spiders & cockroaches
- This is because the same conditions that harbour pests also provide an ideal habitat for beneficial species
- The removal of old crops and debris that harbour pests is an important part...
- ...grows to form thicket which can harbour pests such as rabbits, hares, possums...

...Ora che abbiamo il contesto, si può suggerire il modo e il tempo del verbo: "[in modo che non attirino, non] ospitino/diano rifugio/consentano di annidarsi a (insetti) animali nocivi, o forniscano loro...". Non direi "infestanti", perché si tratta di un passo successivo: non sempre gli animali/insetti nocivi arrivano ad infestare i luoghi dove non sono - diciamo così - "desiderati"... Buon lavoro e HAGD!
