Explanation:
My rendition is literally: "If the thing is doubtful, let it go to hell." Latin didn't commonly use (hetero-)sexual vocabulary abusively. So the basic hostility in your apodosis, being more important than the literal sense, is rendered here by "go to a bad end", the equivalently hostile Latin phrase. Of course, the "bad end" in the world Christianized after classical Latin literature, would be "hell".
