English term or phrase: Eternal requiem for the truth
In "Die froehliche Wissenschaft" Nietzsche tells a story of a man that seeks god with a lantern. This man will also sing a "Requiem aeternam deo". But I want to replace "god" (deus) with "thruth" (veritas). What will then be the proper ending of veritas? Requiem aeternam verita... ?
Jos Kaefer
veritati
Explanation:
Assuming the interpretation of "requiem aeternam deo" as "eternal requiem for god", as in the reference, this requires the dative case, which for veritas is "veritati".

Thanks. With help of some high school knowledge from some friends I figured out that it had to be dative, but now I know how to write it.
