To wcale nie jest banalne pytanie :-)

I think business groups are a very effective substitute for a lack of venture capital market or availability of bank debt, even though entrepreneurial firms very often, at least the firms I studies, could'nt rely on that, even in the USA, because they don't provide the assets that are necessary to obtain these loans.

Mam tak, ale wiem, ze jest koslawo jak diabli:
Myślę, że grupy kapitałowe stanowią swoisty substytut w przypadku braku rynku kapitału wysokiego ryzyka czy dostępności kredytów. Dzieje się tak nawet pomimo tego, że przedsiębiorstwa – przynajmniej te, które analizowałem - bardzo często nie mogłyby stworzyć takiej grupy, nawet w Stanach Zjednoczonych, ponieważ nie posiadały kapitału koniecznego, aby otrzymać tego typu pożyczki.
