It's me again! :-)

Thanks for the 2 kind souls who shed me some light, but isn't the expression *on fast forward* in "Shop at XXX and put your music collection ON FAST FORWARD" more subjective? Isn't it a metaphor or something? I've been so tired I couldn't figure that out... Help, please!

Explanation:
In my opinion, "on fast forward" is a play on words with the function "fast forward" on the old tape decks. In this meaning I sugested you the expression used for that button in Brasil and I'm sure Luiz Luiz sugested you the expression used in Portugal.

It's impossible such play on words with the new CD players, since they don't have a "fast forward" function, but a search function instead. If I were you I would use some thing like "aperte o botão de avanço rápido de sua coleção musical".

Anyway, if you still are not confortable with this, I would sugest that you search for advice among native speaker of english, in the portuguese=>english section (or, for that matter, in any section having english as the target language, since you are worried about the meaning of the expression in english).

Explanation:
I agree with previous answer. I am a ntaive speaker on English. It basically means, "shop at XX and your music collection will move forward in leaps and bounds/advance/progress/be more trendy/be better, whatever. One trip to Brasil but I don't speak the language,sorry!
