Não entendi o que o personagem quis dizer... É o seguinte, ele está contando uma história para o filho. Foi pegar um empréstimo no banco, e colocou um aparelho que emite sons de fantasmas atrás da foto dos fundadores da instituição. Logo depois de falar isso, ele coloca as mãos ao redor da cabeça do filho (de forma meio brincalhona) e diz: Think founding father, stuffy! E continua contando a história.

Ajato,

Acredito que o pai estah fazendo uma comparacao entre os fundadores do banco e os fundadores/lideres dos EUA conhecidos aqui como os "founding fathers" que assinaram a declaracao da independecia, a constituicao, etc

Quanto a stuffy fica dificil sem ver a cena. Pode ser....

1) Como o pai chama/descreve o filho naquele minuto ou no filme inteiro; tipo um apelidio (comum fazer isso aqui nos EUA)

OU

2) Poderia estar descrevendo o "founding father' como SIZUDO, SERIO, etc...
fazendo uma alusao as roupas 'stuffy' da epoca...em ingles costuma se dizer que essas roupas de epoca sao "stuffy' e daih a atitude formal ligada a elas. Talvez comparando com os fundadores do banco de paleto e gravata...serios...sizudos.

Estou mais inclinado a acreditar que trata-se do segundo caso.
