The half round Roller section has many advantages over traditional steel sections.
First the wide section gives the hoof cover and support. The crease locks the nail securely into the shoe and the coarseness of the nail holes allows the nail to be driven into the white line.
The half round section works to improve the performance of the horse and the quality of the hoof by bringing the break over under the hoof wall this reduces the strain on the flexor tendons. It also reduces the stress which would normally pass thru the outer hoof wall.
The Roller is available in different styles, toe clipped and quarter clipped.
