agree  expressisverbis: "Doente" para pt-pt. Tem razão, mas sempre ouço falar em doente aqui (seja o que faz um exame de rotina, seja o que padece de uma doença). Talvez por cá "paciente" seja visto como decalque do inglês (isto, sem certezas, porque certeza só tenho uma).
