career at Central St Martins College of Art
and Design and the Royal College of Art.
His product designs include the Sea Truck
(a high-speed watercraft) and the
Ballbarrow (a type of wheelbarrow), but
he is probably best known for inventing
the dual cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner,
which works on the principle of cyclonic
separation. Together, these products
have brought him worldwide recognition,
a knighthood and generated a net worth
of around £1bn (US$1.6bn).
