Pentru crestin Isus Cristos este soarele dreptatii care va rasari (Mal 3, 20) si lumina care vine din inaltimi pentru a lumina (Lc 1, 78-79). Atunci cand in 1995 Papa Ioan Paul al II-lea a scris o enciclica intitulata "Orientale Lumen", "Lumina Orientului", imaginea Orientului a capatat o alta semnificatie. Papa amintea ca lumina Evangheliei vine din Orient, in particular de la Ierusalim si ca Orientul a lasat Bisericii o mostenire bogata, care este patrimoniu al intregii Biserici.

agree  Dan Marasescu: Corect, dar cele doua sintagme se traduc dupa mine la fel. Nu e bine "soarele adevarului". Cred ca sunt doua traduceri ale aceleiasi sintagme.
