This policy requires that each XXXX business will ensure it has a system to identify and appropriately assess from an Environment, Health and Safety perspective the risks and implementation steps to manage these when a change is made to plant, equipment, product manufacture, process control systems or key personnel related items.

The system will take into account the degree of complexity of the change; ensuring that it is appropriately assessed before implementation with more complex changes requiring the most rigorous assessment. The ‘5 levels’ of change principle to characterise change complexity must be adopted. These being:-
