Ambutisările adînci, pentru elementele mari ale caroseriei, se fac pe prese mecanice sau hidraulice cu forțe mari, în jur de 1000 de tone forță.
Tratamentele termice se aplică pieselor așchiate -pentru mărirea rezistenței sau a durității- și pieselor deformate plastic (prin recoacere) pentru eliminarea tensiunilor interne și omogenizarea structurii interne a oțelului sau fontei.
