From shelter deck and up to Forecastle deck the ship side will be extended to similar beam. The extension will go from the aft end of vessel and forward to frame 35, with a transition zone from frame 31 to frame 35. The pontoon will be stopped aft of area for life boats.

Я все-таки думаю, что это не о креплении чего бы то ни было, а о том, что эта кессонная конструкция оканчивается в районе размещения спасательных шлюпок со стороны кормы (а точнее, прилегает к нему).
По мутной логике авторов этого шедевра это вроде не противоречит тому, что сообщалось ранее, т.е. что изменения конструкции судна имеют место в кормовой части.

Но опять же - хотелось бы посмотреть картинку.
