Explanation:
As for this service does not exist in Slovakia, we do not have an exact term decribing the in-home provided educational service - the "portage input" for handicaped children. This service is provided by psychological institutes and the parents have to bring their children on regular basis to the outpatient departments of relevant clinics.

The present practice in Slovakia doesn\'t fulfill completely the needs of families with handicaped children. The portage does not develope the intellectual functions (i.e. speech) only, but sometimes (or mostly) has children get acquired with basic \"operations\", as how to wash themselves, how to get dressed etc. For more information I recommend to put a glance at the following link:

Podla mojho nazoru nejedna sa o "reedukaciu, reedukacnu sluzbu", ale o moznost dopravy, prepravy, ako postihnutych dopravit do centra so specialnymi sluzbami- reedukacne centra.

input- navrh, nazor ... ale aj prisun (tovaru )
sought( seek ) - hladat, vyhladavat, usilovat sa , snazit sa ...

reedukacia (def.) - specialne pedagogicke metody , ktore rozvijaju alebo upravuju, resp. napravaju nevyvinute alebo porusene funkcie a cinnosti v oblasti postihnuteho analyzatora ( mozgu ), a to s ohladom na celu osobnost postihnuteho; nova vychova, napravna vychova
( nemysli sa tym ako napravna vychova v polepsovniach )
V slovniku cudzich slov je slovo blizke portage - porativny- lahko prenasatelny, prenosny...

Portage input is being sought.."Prenosný senzorický prívod (prístroj) je hžadaný.." alebo "Portatívna senzorická aferentácia je...."
V tomto prípade z kontextu vyplýva, že ide o žahko prenášatežný prístroj, cez ktorý sa prenášajú informácie/impulzy z periférie (napr. prstov, predlaktia...)do centrálneho nervového systému.
Takýchto prístrojov v Kande a USA je viac a splňajú rôzne účely ako aj sú rôzne pomenované. Čo sa týka ústavu pre postihnuté deti v UK (čo uvádzajú dvaja páni kolegovia) "Portage" je pomenovanie tohto ústavu, kde tieto prístroje sa používajú pri náuke, reedukácii...
Len na margo: Som aj pedagógom a cez ruky mi prešlo množstvo študentov s rôznymi problémami, keď sme používali "Portage input devices"...

neutral  Maria Chmelarova: Nemam vysvetlanie preco sa v uvedenej stranke nenachadza zmienka o pristroji. Je mnoho dalsich web stranok cez ktore treba prekorculovat a tak sa mozno podari vyriesit problem.

neutral  Jan Szelepcsenyi, PhD: Ako vysvetlite, ze v citovanom dokumente o praxi v Bristole nie je ani zmienka o prístroji. Nevylučujem, že v texte pani Kovacikovej islo tiez o pristroj (zavisi od kontextu), no ak hladame spravny preklad, mali by sme brat do uvahy vsetky mozne vyznamy.
