Esto tiene un sentido similar al de "primicia", pero a la vez diferente. Sé que es una traducción muy liberal para algunos. Sin embargo, tiene una conotación positiva que siempre implica un avance positivo, o un logro que jamás sucedido en la historia, a diferencia de "primicia". Muchas veces esto se traduce al inglés como "milestone", pero creo que podría funcionar muy bien en éste contexto.
