No existe un título equivalente en Español. Un Associate es un título (dos años de cursos) otorgado por un Junior College (equivaldría a un pre-universitario o a los dos primeros años de Facultad), por lo que yo lo dejaría en inglés y si es posible, añadiría una nota explicativa. De todos modos, podrías poner algo así como un título/diploma/certificado en ciencias.
Si associate se refiere a un profesor, sería un Profesor Adjunto(de la cátedra) de Ciencias.

Explanation:
It exists in Spanish and you become un "adjunto" when you´re practically finishing your career. This allows you to teach, you become an associate professor, un profesor adjunto. Good luck!
