..."blown" is a difficult one here. "Explosion" sounds a bit too drastic (though if this happens in your car, you will certainly hear a "helluva bang" you will remember for quite a time to come), because it evokes "fragmentation" and this is not the case here (usually). What normally happens is that one of the blowers -most often the "hot" (exhaust driven) one- disintegrates and sheds its blades, which immediately causes the other blower to disintegrate as well and this results in the frame being quite "swollen" and pierced at some places.
Therefore, I would say "reventado". "Roto" and "dañado", as the colleagues say would work also, but I do not think that this is descriptive enough for the specific damage sustained. |
