The Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) scheme is a pre-registration inspection for vehicles that have not been type approved to British or European standards. It ensures vehicles have been designed and constructed to a suitable standard of safety before they are used on public roads. Such vehicles include imported, amateur built or rebuilt vehicles and vehicles not orignally designed or intended for use on British roads, i.e. quad bikes.
