This paper cost effectively leverages technologies used in the development of KODAK DURALIFE Paper and combines them with a patented film laminate technology.

I'd like to know a correct translation for the verb 'leverages' used above.

aplancamiento / apoyarse /aprovecharse etc

See ref below, includeing an extract that illustrates use of 'leverage'. Leverage means 'apalancamiento', which is effectively 'to use something so as to do something which you wouldn't be able to do otherewise', kinda like 'aprovecharse de' algo.

This paper cost-effectively (THIS SHOULD BE HYPHENED I THINK) leverages technologies used (APROVECHA (de manera ...)DE LAS TECNOLOGIAS UTILIZADAS) in the development of KODAK DURALIFE Paper and combines them with a patented film laminate technology. SEE OTHER INTERPRETAIONS BELOW.

"Schlumberger has already taken the leadership position in flip chip probe technology with last year’s introduction of the IDS 2000 system for first silicon analysis,” stated Jackie Tubis, president, Schlumberger Automated Test Equipment. “Drawing on technology from an industry leader like IBM allows us to leverage our expertise and resources to further our commitment to help our customers, enabling them to decrease time-to-volume for their flip-chip packages.”

we have seen many times this term when translating IT products' brochures. "aprovechar" fits perfectly, specially when complemented with modal adverbs like "cost-effectively"

El coste del papel refleja claramente la importancia de las tecnologías...

La idea del "máximo aprovechamiento" es la mejor, segun entiendo yo.
También creo que el empleo del término inglés está algo forzado en el original, pero la idea se intuye.
Suerte.
