Any ideas on how to translate the phrase "publicly held debt"?

· Our plan is to restructure the publicly held debt of our parent company, XX Brands International, Inc., which is a holding company without business operations of its own.

Deuda pública
Explanation:

You are right. It is "deuda pública". I also found that in the case of a "publicly held government debt", this would be "deuda pública del Estado en poder de particulares". La "deuda con garantía pública" would be "a publicly guaranteed debt", but the meaning is obviously different.
Thanks so much for your input.
