Lo que se hace con el couscous en ese momento es separar los granos para que quede ligero y no apelmazado. El método tradicional y más recomendado es hacerlo con las manos. Si se usan tenedores, se hace con movimientos de abajo hacia arriba, disgregando las partes apelmazadas, sin presionar hacia abajo. Yo cambiaría la frase:
Use un tenedor para disgregar los granos de modo que queden separados (y aireados, podrías agregar).
