sensor del freno de mano
Explanation:
Es una línea de señalización que hace que la pantalla (instalada en un vehículo) se apague cuando se suelta el freno de mano, para impedir que sea una distracción al conductor.

From the star-monitor site: "In countries like Japan, for example, there are road safety regulations that do not permit switching on any in-dash monitors when the vehicle is moving. The unit will switch off once the handbrake is disengaged. To my knowledge, I'm not aware of any such regulations here. Hence, it's basically a merry time for all."

From the olbis.com site (speaking of regulations in Australia): "The regulation as set out by the new NRTC Road Rules (2000) have been adapted by most states. It is dangerous to install and have a screen running in the full view of the driver. Imagine the footy finals playing as you’re winding your way through the Snowy`s.

Any screen that is installed in view of the driver and can be a distraction must be installed so that it turns off when the handbrake is disengaged. This is a major disadvantage of in dash screens as passengers can only view them while the vehicle is stationary.
