Legal name of an 'artificial person' 02:01 Jan 2, 2010
My reading of DBA in texts refers to a natural person who also owns a company (an artificial/legal person with an officially registered name). i.e.: Henry Ford, DBA Ford Motor Company. The natural name wouldn't have to form a part of the company name, at all, as long as the ownership was registered with the proper authorities. But the company name seems always to be the registered name and not just a popular reference to the company, like 'Chevy' for Chevrolet or General Motors, Inc. I haven't seen DBA used this way in original Spanish texts, so that is new information to me. Wonderful what one can learn here, isn't it? |
