English term or phrase: apply in or towards
Buenas tardes,

Necesitaría ayuda para entender este párrafo, especialmente el fragmento "to apply any amount in any Account in or towards amounts outstanding...".

If an Event of Default has occurred and is continuing, the Lender may, pursuant the Security Agreement:
instruct the Account Bank to apply any amount in any Account in or towards amounts outstanding under any Transaction Document in such order and from such Account as the Lender thinks fit.

Aquí va mi intento:

"...ordenar al Banco de cuenta que aplique/destine cualquier importe de cualquier Cuenta en o hacia importes pendientes en virtud de..."

No me queda clara la parte de "in or towards amounts...".
¿Alguien me lo podría aclarar, por favor?

Muchas gracias

Spanish translation:para cubrir total o parcialmente
Explanation:
Basically they can use any money that's lying around to pay part or all of the debt. "towards" indicates that it would not fully cover the debt.
