Law/Patents - Law (general) / Initials \'PC\' before name in Witness Statement
English term or phrase: PC [name]
It is a witness statement of a Medical Practitioner in London, please see below the entire paragraph:

"Professional witness statement as requested by PC [name] of SCO17 Command North East Hub on 5th January in relation to my examination of [name]."

I believe 'PC' must be related to the police officer who requests the witness statement. I also found this witness statement doing my research, where initials PS and PC stand for Police Sergeant and Police Constable:

"Those in attendance were: Police Sergeant (PS) [name], Police Constable (PC) [name] and me are all from Lambeth Police Licensing Team."

Can anyone confirm whether PC stands for Police Constable in a witness statement?

If so, would you translate Police Constable simply as "agente de policía"?

Many thanks in advance!
