English term or phrase: Tallahassee, the Capitol
At the bottom of a certificate of corporate status, it says:
"Given under my hand and the Great Seal of the State of Florida at Tallahassee, the Capitol, this second day of november, 2000"
I need the meaning of "Capitol". Maybe, capital city (in this case of the State of Florida)????
Thanks for your help.

cámara de representantes del Estado de Florida
Explanation:
...en Tallahasee. The Capitol is the building where the "cámara de representantes" (house of representatives) gather. this gathering is called thus "Capitol", the same way you call The White House the residence of the US President or The Pentagon to refer to the US Department of Defense. All very Latin/Greek by the way. The New World pays heed to the Ancients, would you believe it! Ah you can also translate "Capitol" as "Capitolio". Good luck cheers :-)
