As in drug abuse. Saying abuso de substancias, or drogas etc just doesn't sound right to me... is there a better way?
Thanks!

1 hr
consumo de estupefacientes

Explanation:
"abuso" should not be used for "abuse", for the term is self explaining. You know, "substance" denotes drugs, mood altering stuff, etc. So, if you take them you are obviously "abusing", indulging in some sort of illegal behavior.

Consumo de substancias tóxicas.

Explanation:
Abuse is best translated into spanish as Consumo. Comsumir (verb) means use habitually, regularly. This is why I would pick Consumo and not another word.
